Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia 920 Compared with Nokia Lumia 820

Windows phone 8, Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 are finally unveiled recently in a Nokia and Microsoft event held at New York. These phones are expected to be released on November 2012. Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 runs on Windows phone 8 Operating system. But, the cost of these phones are yet to be announced. Recent released Nokia Lumia 700, Lumia 710 and many more mobiles do not reached expected success in mobile marketing field. This is due to the Android and iOS, the importance to Nokia phones is overthrown. Nokia is dead by the continuous failures of the new models and it is no more, Nokia lovers felt. So, to over come this competition, Nokia designed Windows 8 running phones 920 and 820. Both these phones runs on Windows phone 8 operating system but, there are some differences in key features of the phones in words. Here’s a comparison of key specifications of the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820.

Lumia 920: The phone weighs 185 grams with 10.7 mm thickness. The dimensions are designed to make it easy to handle for the users.

Lumia 820: The phone weighs 160 grams with 9.9 mm thickness.

Lumia 920: It has an internal storage of 32 GB and supported by 1GB RAM. And it lacks SD card slot.

Lumia 820: It has an internal storage of 8GB and supported by 1GB RAM. It includes SD card slot which can support upto 32GB.

Camera:

Lumia 920: 8MP Primary camera with LED flash, Geo-Tagging, Pure view Technology, Image stabilization and includes 1.3MP secondary camera. The camera of Nokia lumia 920 supports HD video recording @30fps.

Lumia 820: 8MP Primary camera with Dual LED flash, Geo-Tagging, Autofocus and includes VGA secondary camera. The camera supports HD video recording @30fps.

Battery:

Lumia 920: The phone can be in stand by up to 400hrs in 3G and  2G networks and supports continuous music playback up to 67 hours.

Lumia 820: The phone can be in stand by up to 330hrs in both 2G and 3G networks and supports continuous music playback up to 55 hours.

Features in common:

• These phones run on Windows phone 8 operating system with a Dual core processor of 1.5 GHz capacity. This is the best feature of these phones.
• Supports HTML5 and do not support Java files.
• Includes Bluetooth v3.1 and micro USB v2.0 for the improved, faster, safer file transfer.
• Supports 2G, 3G and 4G to enable easy Network connectivity.
• Sensors for Accelerometer, Proximity, and Compass.
• Supports GPS and A-GPS.
• Supports 16 million colors.

The above mentioned features are key specifications and these phones include many more features in common like Wireless charging,  HTML 5 Browser, SMS, MMS, Push Mail, IM, Email, Voice memos, GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, Multi touch and many more features.

My Final Words:

Considering the key features of these phones we can estimate the cost of the phones around….? Why can’t you wait until the release date? Frankly, We can’t expect the cost of the phone as these are the first phones in the world running on Windows phone 8 operating System. Even though Nokia faced tough competition from the Android firms, it released windows 8 running phones with a desire to meet unexpected success. And let us hope the same.
